Why are Coffee prices increasing?
Share
Coffee Futures have risen almost 70% since November 2024. This is due to severe droughts that have impacted coffee harvests in Brazil, Vietnam, and Columbia, the world's three largest coffee producers. Other coffee growing regions have followed suit.
Unfortunately, increases in the cost of green coffee beans have even led to thefts of shipping containers carrying beans for export.
Add to that, a 10% “Tariff Surcharge” that is being implemented by most US coffee bean suppliers.
What does this mean? The cost of green coffee beans has risen quite a bit.
Here at The Organic Roaster, we not only strive to provide the freshest single origin, organic whole bean coffee but also to offer fair, competitive pricing to our customers.
